Complementary care

Supporting the whole person, alongside dentistry.

Complementary approaches may be offered as supportive care—not as substitutes for dental or medical diagnosis and treatment.

Our approach

Open-minded, careful, and transparent.

Some patients value supportive approaches that focus on comfort, relaxation, and their wider experience of care. We discuss what matters to you while keeping evidence-based dental diagnosis and informed consent at the centre of every plan.

Evidence for complementary therapies varies. We explain uncertainty honestly, check for interactions or contraindications where relevant, and encourage medical advice when symptoms fall outside dentistry.

Therapies discussed at Sage

Support tailored to the individual.

CranioSacral therapy

A light-touch complementary approach sometimes explored alongside care for jaw tension and relaxation.

Kinesiology

A complementary practice involving muscle-response testing. It does not replace conventional diagnostic testing.

Homeopathy

Some patients choose homeopathic products as complementary support. Evidence of effectiveness is limited.

Bach flower remedies

Flower-based preparations sometimes used for emotional wellbeing and relaxation.

Field Control Therapy

A bio-resonance-based complementary approach; it is not a validated replacement for medical testing.

Visceral manipulation

A gentle manual therapy offered by some practitioners as supportive wellbeing care.
